Presented is an antique, sterling silver serving fork made by George Jensen of Denmark during the 1930s or the 1940s. This piece is in the Ornamental #54 pattern. Both the tines/body of the fork and the handle are sterling silver, but the handle portion feels hollow. The handle is beautifully decorated with stylized berry and leaf designs with marks of hand hammering visible in the finish.
The back is marked Georg Jensen, sterling, Denmark and 54.
This piece is in good overall condition considering its age. As the photos show, the handle has some dents and splitting here and there, but the piece is still quite useable.
