Presented is a gorgeous antique gold, ruby and seed pearl necklace, most likely made in America. The necklace dates from circa the 1890s to the 1920s. It features an ornate centerpiece with geometric shapes, a flower set with 6 real rubies, and a natural seed pearl. There are small strands of old chain embellishing the center circles.
The gold of the decorative portion of the necklace (the centerpiece including the gold strands) is tested and guaranteed to be 10k rose gold. The necklace chain and clasp are not gold. There is the stamp "Union" on the last link of the chain.
The clasp is a barrel-type clasp, and is working well. It is spring-loaded, and is a type of clasp that we rarely see! We believe the clasp very well could have been replaced at one time. There are no problems with this necklace. It is in great condition, ready to make you feel like royalty!
