Presented is a wonderful quality 18K gold, ruby and diamond ring. This ring is exceptionally well made and well finished with nice attention to detail. There is a band of 7 modern round brilliant cut diamonds at the center with 7 square cut rubies above and another 7 rubies below. The rubies are very nice stones, at least 3-4 points each in size, for a total carat weight of 42-56 points, or right around half a carat. They are securely channel set and perfectly matched. The diamonds are good quality stones with a lot of life. They measure about 1-2 points in size each. This ring is fairly modern. It was likely made in Europe, but it is difficult to say where.
The ring is marked K18 on the inside of the band. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 18K gold.
The condition is excellent. There are a few minor surface abrasions to the rubies, but nothing you would ever notice. I had to use a 10 power loupe to even notice them, and even after I have noticed the surface abrasions, I have to get within 2 inches to see them. They really are extremely minor. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The ring is a size 6 3/4.
