Presented is a gorgeous 18K yellow gold, sapphire and diamond ring. The ring is topped with a brilliant blue sapphire surrounded by 46 modern round brilliant cut diamonds. The 28 diamonds around the center are larger stones, about 1.5 to 1.75 points each. The 18 smaller stones above and below the sapphire are just under 1 point each. The total diamond weight is about 60 points or 6/10 carat. The sapphire has a wonderful vibrant color, certainly better than our photos show. It measures approximately 4.5 millimeters by 6 millimeters. We have estimated the weight of the sapphire to be at least 1/2 carat. The ring is modern, most likely made in the past 20 - 30 years.
The ring is marked on the inside of the band with a maker’s mark of VAJ and 750 for 18K gold. We have tested the ring with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 18K gold.
The condition is excellent. The stones are all securely set. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The ring is a size 6 1/2. It can be sized larger or smaller.
The weight is 5.7 grams.
