Presented is an excellent set of 3 sterling silver oval soup, place, or dessert spoons by Reed & Barton. These spoons are made in the elegant Trajan pattern, which was patented in 1892. This is a lovely classical pattern with flowers and foliate scrollwork adorning the handles on the front, with a very fine degree of detail and texture. The backs have a scroll enclosed cartouche, which has never been monogrammed.
These spoons are marked on the stem with sterling as well as the maker's mark for Reed & Barton.
This set is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. No splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is about 7 3/8 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 158 grams or 5.6 ounces. -jm
