Pretty Victorian 14k Rose Gold Garnet Cabochon Engraved Pin
Regular price
$1,209.60
Presented is a charming, 14 karat rose gold pin made during the 1860-70s. The round pin is set with 7 cabochon garnets and is engraved in between each garnet with bright cut flowers.
This pin is not marked, as should be expected on an American piece from the mid-1800s. It has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be 14 karat gold purity.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is some surface wear to the piece, but this is hard to notice when the pin is being worn. It looks more like this piece originally had a high karat yellow gold finish, which is not unusual for Victorian pieces, to have rose gold as a base with higher karat yellow gold on top, but we think this piece looks nice as it is. There are no missing stones, no dents, no breaks and no repairs.
The pin measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter and weighs 16.2 grams.
