Presented is a gorgeous set of 18 karat gold, crystal, and labradorite earrings by jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay. The set consists of a pendant, bracelet, and pair of earrings, all in a beautiful lunar theme. Each earring is set with a piece of clear rock crystal, carved and frosted on the front to look like a stylized rendition of the moon's surface, with the back sides brilliantly faceted to reflect light. Below each “moon” is a drop set with a round cut labradorite, with flashes of interior adularescence, like a blue glow. The pendant is set with one of the moon design crystals and two round labradorites beneath. The bracelet is made up of more moon crystals, alternating in size, with more round labradorites between each moon link. The stones are all set in 18 karat yellow gold, with the settings of the crystal moons done in a granulated beadwork design, reminiscent of Etruscan Revival pieces. The overall look of the jewelry suite combines unique and inspired design choices with high quality gemstones and precious metals , as you'd expect from a designer with Paula Crevoshay's stated commitment to integrity and artistic vision and love of bold, eye-catching gemstones. The earrings have butterfly style backs with wide, clear spacers, for wear with pierced ears. The pendant has two hook form bails/loops on the back, which will accommodate a wide variety of chain sizes and styles. The bracelet has a box style tab insert clasp, with a safety latch on one side for additional security.

This suite was acquired from an estate along with several other fine pieces of Paula Crevoshay's work, many of which came to us with their original receipts from EF Watermelon in Old Lyme, Connecticut, the brainchild gallery of two of the founding members of the American Gem Trade Association, which both gave a platform to jewelry artists like Paula Crevoshay and others of similar renown and supplied them with unique and high end gemstones in their capacity as dealers in fine gems. EF Watermelon showcased and sold her work directly, making these earrings single-owner pieces of undisputed authenticity. This set retailed new from the gallery for $11,800 in 1997, which in 2023 terms would be over $20,000.
The earrings, bracelet, and pendant are all in pristine condition. The stones are all well set and intact, with no chips. The bracelet clasp and safety function well and close securely. No breaks and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped and guaranteed 18k as well as the maker's mark for Paula Crevoshay, including the earring backs.
Each earring measures about 1 1/8 inches long. The pendant is about 7/8 of an inch long. The bracelet is about 7 1/8 inches long, not including the tab of the clasp, which does not contribute to the overall length when worn.
The total weight for the set is 64.8 grams.
