Presented is a lovely pair of Gorham sterling silver salad or fish forks. These forks are made in the Medallion pattern, which was patented in 1864. As the name suggests, this pattern features bold designs of classical Greco-Roman profiles in medallions on the handles. These forks have the profile of a young man or woman, I can't tell. The forks are monogrammed JEJ in flowing script on the back of the handle.
These forks are in great condition. The medallion designs are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark as well as sterling.
The forks are 6 7/8 inches long.
The total weight for the pair is 49 grams or 1.7 regular ounces.
