Presented is an antique pair of American coin silver serving or stuffing spoons made by S & Wilson of Philadelphia around 1805. This set is in a classical form. Each spoon has a rounded tip and a sinuous monogram of the initials BL. This is a great, early 19th century pair.
The back of each spoon is marked S & Wilson for Abraham Gregorius Storm and James Wilson, who worked together in Poughkeepsie, NY from 1802-1818. Both spoons are guaranteed to be .900 silver, coin purity.
This set is in fabulous overall condition considering the age. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each spoon measures 9 1/2 inches long and the combined weight of the pair is 120 grams or 4.2 ounces.
