Pair Antique 1889 German Sterling Silver Hand Chased Bowls/Dishes
Regular price
$570.00
Presented is a gorgeous pair of German sterling silver dishes or bowls made by Neresheimer & Sohne of Hanau during the late 1800s. This pair was imported into Chester, London in 1889 so the piece was made in or before 1889. Each bowl is completely hand chased with beautiful flower decorations and is raised on 4 decorative feet.
The underside of each piece bears the maker’s mark for Neresheimer & Sohne of Hanau as well as English import marks of the lion passant for sterling silver purity, the 3 tower Chester city mark and a date letter F for the year 1889.
This pair is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp. There are no damages and no repairs. One of the dishes rocks back and forth but you could fix this by bending one of the legs a bit.
Each dish measures 3 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches and is 2 3/8 inches tall.
Weight: 353 grams.
