Presented is a nice quality pair of American coin silver place or serving spoons made during the late 1700s, possibly even colonial. The pair has no hallmarks but the form and style of engraving are very typical of the second half of the 18th century. Each handle has a crisp monogram of the initials EF.
This set is in excellent condition, especially for its age. There is wear to the bowls but no major dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each spoon measures 8 5/8 inches long and the combined weight of the pair is 133.3 grams or 4.7 ounces.
