OOAK Paula Crevoshay 18k Yellow Gold Pink Rose Pearl Quatrefoil Earrings

Presented is a gorgeous pair of 18 karat gold and pearl earrings by jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay. Each earring is made in a sort of quatrefoil design, with three gold leaves and a cluster of three pearls, surrounding a larger pearl in the center. The larger center pearls measure about 10.4 millimeters in diameter, while the smaller pearls are around 6.5 millimeters in diameter each. The larger pearls are a beautiful rich almost rose gold shade, while the smaller pearls are chosen for an almost gradient effect, with one lighter and one darker on the bottom with a more “medium” pearl for the top, but all in the same warm, rosy tones as the center pearl; the effect is more subtle in person than the photos make it appear, but the attention to detail and design shines through. These pearls are exceptional quality, as you'd expect from a designer with Paula Crevoshay's stated commitment to integrity and artistic vision. These earrings are made in an antiquities inspired style, with applied granulated decoration against gold with a rich textured finish, reminiscent of Etruscan Revival pieces. These earrings were acquired from an estate along with several other fine pieces of Paula Crevoshay's work, many of which came to us with their original receipts from EF Watermelon in Old Lyme, Connecticut, the brainchild gallery of two of the founding members of the American Gem Trade Association, which both gave a platform to jewelry artists like Paula Crevoshay and others of similar renown and supplied them with unique and high end gemstones in their capacity as dealers in fine gems. EF Watermelon showcased and sold her work directly, making these earrings single-owner pieces of undisputed authenticity. 

The earrings are in pristine condition. The pearls are clean and well set.

Each earring is stamped and guaranteed 18k as well as the maker's mark for Paula Crevoshay. Even the butterfly backs are stamped.

Each earring measures about 1 1/2 inches long by about 1 1/4 inches wide.
