Presented is a very nice pair of American coin silver ice, or sugar, or serving tongs. These tongs were made by John Cook of New York City. They are stamped on the inside of each arm J Cook. Cook was most active in the late 1700s through the very early 1800s. These tongs almost certainly made between 1795 to 1805.

The tongs are in excellent condition and there are no problems. There are no breaks, no repairs, no cracks, no monogram removals and no issues. There is a monogram on the end of the tongs which appears to be JG.

The weight is 26.5 grams of .93 ounces.

The length is 6 1/4 inches.
