Nice Antique Signed Dedham Pottery Rabbit Crackle Glaze Bowl 6.75"
Regular price
$270.00
Presented is a fine old Dedham pottery bowl, in the classic Rabbit pattern. This pattern, as the name suggests, features a charming border made up of crouching rabbits in rich cobalt blue, against the classic Dedham white crackle glaze, their most iconic and well known pattern. This is a real signed Dedham piece dating to the early 1900s, not a modern repro by the Potting Shed/Pottery Shed or the like. Please read the condition statement of this antique pottery item carefully.
The underside is signed with the Dedham Pottery 'crouching rabbit' mark in underglaze blue.
This piece is in good overall condition. There is an invisible crack/hairline to the bowl, which is discernible by how it rings (or doesn't) when tapped, but is not something I can find visually amidst the normal lines of the crackle glaze. There is no discoloration, and there are no chips, no breaks, and no repairs.
The bowl measures about 6 3/4 inches in diameter and stands about 2 3/4 inches tall at the rim. -jm
