Presented is a nice 18 karat gold and diamond guard ring. This is a modern ring, and given the quality and the HB maker's mark it may have been made by the Hammerman Brothers or the Heyman Brothers. The ring is done in two parts, with space in the middle for a third ring. Each part of the guard ring is channel set with 9 modern brilliant cut diamonds (18 total) of about 2.5 to 3 points apiece in size. These are wonderful quality stones, of VS to VS-1 clarity, possibly into VVS, and G/H color. The total diamond weight is around half a carat. The gold setting is quite heavy, sleek and with a good weight to it.
The ring is in great condition. The diamonds are all well and securely set. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The band is stamped and guaranteed 18k and has a maker's mark of HB, possibly for the Hammerman Brothers or Heyman Brothers.
The ring is a size 7 1/2.
