Presented is a great looking, 14 karat yellow gold and carved chalcedony stone brooch or pin. The 14 karat gold mounting or setting is done in an openwork pattern and has leaves swirling amongst three prong-set carved stones. The stones are carved into the form of sacred scarab beetles, which were once regarded by the Egyptians as a sign of transformation, regeneration and renewal. This piece was most likely made between the 1950s-70s. The clasp has a safety latch for added security.
The clasp is marked 14K. Tested and guaranteed.
