Presented is a wonderful antique Indonesian silver box, dating to circa 1900. The box is beautifully hand chased with intricate floral and foliate decoration, with beadwork and gadrooning around the sides. The underside of the box has an old pinprick engraving of a bird with a word or inscription above.
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This box is not stamped or hallmarked but is tested and guaranteed about 900 purity silver.
The box measures about 2 ¼ inches in diameter and stands about 1 7/8 inches tall.
