Presented is a complete, English silver plated fish set made by Elkington & Company of Birmingham during the mid to late 19th century. This set was made between 1840 and 1895. This set includes 6 fish knives and 6 fish forks. The blades and handles are beautifully hand engraved with bright cut flowers and leaves on both sides. Each handle has a monogram, but I am not sure of the letters.
Each piece in this set is marked with the Elkington & Company hallmark used between 1840 and 1897.
This set is in fabulous overall condition for its age and the designs are very crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each fork measures 7 3/4 inches long and each knife measures 8 3/4 inches long.
