Presented is a lovely Continental European saint statue, likely Italian from the 1830s-1880s. This piece displays a fancy Rococo-style base and flowing garments around the saint. The statue is entirely hand-carved wood with a gesso plaster coating and then painted.
This piece is in good overall condition, especially considering age. The saint's hands have broken off and one small loss to the base. There are also losses to the paint. Let the photos be your guide.
