Presented is an antique, porcelain or fine china sauce/gravy boat or tureen made by Miessen of Germany during the late 1800s or early 1900s. This piece is done in the classic Blue Onion pattern and it is beautifully decorated all over with stylized flowers, leaves and onions. The boat has two handles, two spouts and has an attached under plate or shallow dish.
The underside bears the Meissen crossed sword hallmark and has no cancellation marks. The crossed swords can also be seen at the base of the onion plant.
This piece is in excellent condition.
