Marquise Diamond 14K Gold Engagement Ring w/ Guard Band

Presented is a fine quality 14K gold and diamond engagement ring with a 14K gold and diamond guard band to go with it. The two rings have been soldered together at the underside but could be separated. The engagement ring is a solitaire with a large marquise diamond at the center. The guard ring is set with 6 graduated marquise diamonds. The conservative measurements of the central stone are approximately 6.4 millimeters by 4.4 millimeters with a depth of 3.25 millimeters, the measurements are hard to get exactly due to the setting. We estimate the carat weight of this stone to be at least 50 points (half a carat), maybe as much as 55 points. The guard ring's marquise diamonds are total about 18 points altogether, so the total carat weight for both rings is about 68-73 points, or about 2/3 to 3/4 of a carat. The center marquise is a good quality stone, with SI clarity and H-I color. The side marquise stones are SI-1, VS clarity with J color. The rings were made in America within the past 30 years.
The solitaire ring is stamped on the inside of the band with 14K for 14K gold and a snowflake for the maker's mark. The guard band was also marked on the inside of the band, but it looks like the marks were erased during the soldering process. We have tested both rings with nitric acid and guarantee them to be 14K gold.
The condition is excellent. The stones are all very securely mounted. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The ring is a size 5 3/4. It can be sized larger or smaller.
The combined weight of the pair is 3.9 grams.
