Magnificent Vintage American 14k Gold Pin/Pendant w Pearls Diamonds

Presented is a magnificent 14k gold pin/pendant with pearls and diamonds. The gold is worked into an ornate and symmetrical design. The center of the pin has a single diamond with 8 branches of gold extending out from it. Around the outer circumference of the pin there are alternating diamonds and pearls. Each diamond is securely set with six prongs. The pearls are approximately 3.9 millimeters in diameter. The outer diamonds are about 8 points each and the center diamond is about 12 points, for a total of about 1/2 carat in diamond weight. The diamonds are I-1 clarity and I-J color. On the reverse is a secure clasp and strong pin shaft. Above the pin shaft is a bail which can be tucked behind the pin shaft so that this piece can easily be worn as a pin or as a pendant. The bail can be moved to the side, so it can comfortably accommodate a fairly large chain, or it can be effectively tucked out of the way to wear as a pin.

The pin is marked 14k on the clasp. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold.

The pin is in excellent condition. All of the gold work is intact. The pearls and diamonds are securely set. There are no breaks, no chips, no splits, and no repairs.

The pin is approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter.

The pin weighs 8.1 grams.
