Lovely Vintage Antique Sterling Silver Fessenden Alice Pattern Ladle
Presented is a lovely, sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle made by Fessenden and Company during the first quarter of the 1900s. This piece is in the Alice pattern, which was patented in 1895. The front of the handle is decorated with beads, scrolls and roses. The back of the handle has an old, original monogram of the letter B. The bowl has a matte finish gold wash.
The back is marked sterling and has a patent date of August 20, 1895.
This piece is in excellent condition. There is some wear to the gold wash, but it is mostly on the underside of the bowl. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The ladle measures 9 1/2 inches long.
