Presented is a lovely graduated string of golden South Sea pearls, between 10 and 13.25 mm, with an 18K white gold and diamond clasp. There are 33 pearls to the strand, individually knotted, and they have a great lustre to them. The clasp has about 115 1 point modern brilliant cut diamonds, very well-set and VS-SI quality. This is almost certainly a Japanese piece. The pearls are almost certainly cultured given the size and color, but we cannot be sure. The insert of the clasp is stamped 'K18 750' for 18 karat gold purity, and 'D1.15' for the total carat weight of the diamonds in the clasp.
This necklace is in great overall condition. The string is in good shape. The clasp is very secure. The pearls have some surface wear, as shown in the photos. Otherwise there are no problems.
