Presented is a stunning pair of antique cut glass candlestick holders, dating to the first quarter of the 1900s or possibly a little earlier. The candlesticks are likely American and from a high end maker like Pairpoint, based on the quality and intricacy of the decoration, but they could also be English from Thomas Webb or Stevens & Williams. They are unsigned, as is fairly typical for cut glass in this style of the time period, though there is a small etched number that looks like 6027. The candlesticks are made in a graceful balustroid form, with a flared base and round knop between the socle and shoulder. The glass is beautifully cut and etched with a design of clusters of berries on leafy vines, possibly raspberries or the like, very detailed and well done. Great as a pair of table candlesticks, or gracing either end of a mantle, or however else you might choose to display them.
Please note, glass candlesticks are generally intended to be used with an aluminum liner to protect the glass from heat, which you can buy in packs or quite easily fashion from foil.

This pair of candlesticks is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.

Each candlestick stands about 12 inches tall. The bases measure about 4 3/4 inches in diameter. -jm
