Presented is a beautiful brooch in 14 karat yellow gold, set with diamonds and sapphires. There are 6 modern brilliant cut diamonds, of VS1-SI1 quality, with most being VS1, all F-G color and about 5pts apiece, for a total diamond weight of about 30 pts. There are 4 sapphires, about 10-12pts apiece, well-matched and with gorgeous blue color. The gold setting is done in contrasting smooth and rope-textured gold, very attractive. This is a wonderful piece of modern jewelry, likely of American origin, and would make an excellent gift.
The brooch is stamped 14k on the clasp, and has a maker's mark which we unfortunately do not recognize.
The brooch is in excellent condition. The stones are all well set and the clasp closes securely. There are no splits, no breaks, no chips, and no repairs.
The brooch is about 1 7/8 inches long.
The brooch weighs 7.8 grams.
