Presented is a beautiful Herend porcelain trinket box or bonbonniere/candy dish. The dish is made in a lovely scalloped design with a pink border, fine gold gilt rims, and delicate floral decoration around the lid. The finial of the lid is made in the form of three wonderfully detailed fully three dimensional flowers, in pink, orange, and yellow, with delicately sculpted pistils of contrasting colors in the centers and ruffled edges to the petals. The quality of all the decoration is exceptional, and all done by hand.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. Even the floral finial, which is very fine porcelain, has no chips or losses.
The underside is signed Herend Hungary, Handpainted, and 6170/MF.
This piece measures about 6 1/2 inches in diameter and stands about 3 3/4 inches tall to the top of the finial of the lid, or about 1 3/8 inches high at the rim of the bottom portion. -jm
