Presented is a very large cameo 14K gold pin. The shell carving was done in Italy between 1910-1920s, and the gold filigree bezel setting was made in America around the same time. The beautifully carved piece depicts a lovely young lady with roses in her hair and a chic sleeveless dress with straps. She wears a real white gold necklace set with a nice 3 point sized diamond. The octagonal filigree setting has lovely little shell accents at each corner.
The piece is marked on the clasp with 14K for 14K gold. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold.
The condition is excellent. The shell and gold filigree setting are in great shape. There are no breaks, no cracks, no splits, no dents, no chips and no repairs.
The cameo pin measures 2 inches by 1 5/8 inches.
The weight is 12.1 grams.
