Presented is a lovely sterling silver fish server from Gorham, although can be used for many other foods. This large and heavy piece is in the St. Cloud pattern, which was patented in 1885. This pattern displays fancy leaves and scroll along the handle. The serving end has fancy engravings that match the handle pattern well. The back of the handle is monogrammed “HFG” in a flowing script.
The reverse is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Gorham and the patent date of 1885.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. The engravings are crisp and the pattern detail are well-defined. There are no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.
