Presented is a lovely sterling silver asparagus server from Durgin. This piece is in the Iris pattern, which was patented in 1900. This pattern displays Art Nouveau style iris flowers and leaves with a twisting threaded pattern on the serving end. There is a monogram on the front cartouche, FMH, is a flowing script.
The reverse is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Durgin and a retailer, Shreve, Crump, and Low.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. The pattern details are crisp and well-defined. There tines are thick and straight, ready for use. There is a slight bend to the 4 wide tines at the end juncture. There are no breaks and no repairs.
