Presented is a lovely Chinese export porcelain tea pot likely made in the 1790s-1820s. This piece was crafted in a classical form and displays simple, elegant decorations. The pot has delicate hand painted flowers and a simple boarder pattern around the lip of the lid. It's handle is composed of two interwoven porcelain pieces. The finial handle on the lid appears to be a berry or acorn which was likely gilded originally.
The tea pot is in great condition, especially considering age and material. It seems that there is some crazing to the glaze (they do not appear to be hairline cracks) with is not enough to darken the porcelain from moisture. There is a small chip on the inside of the lid's lip. The pot is clean and ready for use.
