Presented is a charming 14 karat gold, diamond and seed pearl pin or brooch. This is an American piece dating to around 1910-1920. The pin is done in a sunburst or rayed star design, with a diamond in the center. The diamond is an old mine cut stone of I-1 clarity and I color, about 33 points in size. The thicker rays of the star are each set with natural seed pearls. The pin has a sturdy safety clasp on the back, as well as a little hook so it can be worn on a chain as a pendant.
The pin is in great condition. The diamond is well set. The pearls are all intact. The clasp functions well and closes securely.
The pin is guaranteed 14k, stamped on both the clasp and the back of the pin itself.
The pin is about 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
The pin weighs 5.1 grams.
