Lovely c1870s American Victorian 14k Gold Chased Floral Rosette Bracelet

Presented is a beautiful Victorian 14 karat gold bracelet. This is an American
piece, and dates to 1865-1880. The bracelet consists of beautifully hand chased
links, with a central link in a four lobed or cross design. The bracelet has a
tongue insert style clasp with a safety chain which hooks onto the side.
The bracelet is in great condition. The details of the links are nice and
sharp. The clasp and safety function well and close securely. There are no
breaks and no repairs.
The tongue of the clasp is stamped 'Patent Applied For' presumably for the
design of the clasp and safety chain. The bracelet is not hallmarked, but we
have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14 karat gold.
The bracelet is about 6 3/4 inches long, not including the tongue of the
clasp, which does not contribute to the overall length when worn.
The bracelet weighs 17.5 grams.
