Presented is a beautiful English creamware plate. This piece dates to circa 1770-1800. The plate is nicely hand-painted with blue and green details. At four compass points around the plate are small painted flowers, very colorful. The majority of the plate is formed in a basket weave pattern, while the rim is openwork. This is a very attractive and well cared for antique piece.
This piece is in great condition, especially considering that it's more than 200 years old. There is some wear to the underside, from contact with being set down on things, hard to avoid. There is some loss to the blue paint. There are no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, and no repairs.
This plate has an approximate diameter of 9 1/2 inches.
