Lovely 54pc Gorham Sterling Silver Chantilly Flatware Set Serves 8

Presented is a fabulous 54 piece sterling silver flatware set. This set is made by Gorham, in their popular Chantilly pattern, which began production in 1895. The set serves eight with four piece place settings, as well as a variety of versatile servers and other pieces. The knives have stainless steel blades in the Modern style. Three of the teaspoons are still new in their original packaging, as you can see from the photo. The vast majority of the set has no monograms, the only pieces with a monogram are the 6 cocktail forks and one small serving fork, as noted below.

The set consists of:

• 8 forks—7 1/2 inches long.
• 8 salad forks—6 1/2 inches long.
• 8 knives— 9 1/8 inches long.
• 16 teaspoons—5 3/4 inches long
• 6 cocktail/oyster/hors d'oeuvre forks—5 ½ inches long (W monogram)
• 2 table / serving spoons—8 3/8 inches long.
• gravy / sauce ladle—7 inches long.
• sugar/jam serving spoon—5 7/8 inches long.
• chipped beef serving fork—5 ¾ inches long.
• relish / olive spoon—5 7/8 inches long.
• olive serving fork—5 ¾ inches long (E monogram )
• cheese knife / server—6 7/8 inches long. Stainless blade.

We are including with the set a brand new fitted storage chest, as seen in the photos. The chest is wood in a rich dark walnut finish, with a velvet lined interior.

Each non-knife piece is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark as well as sterling and the patent date of the pattern, 1895. The knives are marked stainless blade, sterling handle, and Gorham on the blades.

This set is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The total weight for the set, not including the knives due to their stainless blades, is 1557 grams or 54.9 regular ounces.
