Presented is a fine quality, sterling silver soup or punch ladle made by Bigelow, Kennard & Co during the late 1800s, most likely around the 1870s. The front of the ladle has a wonderful band of bright cut engraved design along the tip and there is an old, original monogram of the letter L.
The back is marked Bigelow, Kennard & Co and 925 for sterling silver purity.
This piece is in great condition and the designs are crisp. There is some wear to the bowl, but no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
