Presented is a lovely large oval serving platter by Meissen. The platter dates to circa 1900 - 1930s and is done in the Scattered Flowers or Streublumen pattern. The platter is white with beautifully hand painted floral decoration, in a veritable rainbow of vibrant colors featuring a variety of flowers scattered against the white background. All the decoration is hand painted in painstaking detail, with a great degree of skill. This platter has a bright gilt edge.
The condition is excellent. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. This is a first quality piece. There are no cancel marks and no imperfections.
The platter is marked on the underside with the Meissen crossed swords mark in underglaze blue.
This platter measures 16 3/4 x 12 1/4 inches, and 2 inches tall.
