Large C1900 10k Multi Color Gold & Carved Shell Cameo Brooch/Pin/Pendant

Presented is a large and ornate, 10 karat rose gold and carved shell cameo
brooch, pin or pendant made during the early 20th century. The cameo is hand
carved to show a raised, detailed profile of a lovely young woman. The cameo is
securely bezel set into a large, openwork mounting that is embellished with
applied green and rose gold flowers. Someone has added a hinged bale or loop to
the top of the piece after original production, so this piece can also be used
as a pendant.

The pendant measures 2 3/8 inches long and weighs 16 grams.
