Presented is a pair of great coin silver serving spoons from Steven Emery. This pair displays a rope style border and a shell decoration on the back of the bowls. This pair was made in the 1760s. They are certainly colonial, pre- Revolutionary War.
The pair is monogrammed on the front with RB in a flowing script.
The reverse of each spoon is marked S. Emery for Stephen Emery, who was a Massachusetts maker between circa 1752 -1800.
This pair is in great condition. The spoons have not been buffed. There is minimal surface wear. The mark is clear and easily readable. There are no breaks and no repairs.
