Regular price
$540.00
Presented is a wonderful, Spanish silver candle holder or chamberstick made around the 1940s. This piece is 915 purity silver, which is just slightly lower than 925 sterling silver purity. This piece is a reproduction of an 17th century style piece. The large piece has a neat swirl leg design. The top has applied decorative silver plaques or bosses and there are also bezel set pieces of glass that look like natural stones. There is a pair of attached tongs or tweezers on the underside for the wick of the candle.
The piece is marked with the Spanish 915 purity silver hallmark.
This piece is in great condition. There are no missing pieces and no dents, breaks or repairs. There is a deep cut to the underside that someone made to test the purity of the silver before we had the piece. This is only visible on the underside.
The piece measures 15 1/8 inches long.
Weight: 288 grams or 10 ounces.
