Presented is a beautiful 14K gold ring with five huge pearls set in a heavy gold setting designed to resemble a coral branch. The pearls have a lovely, luminescent sheen and a lot of depth to their nacre, with a warm silvery color. They are probably cultured, but possibly natural, we aren't certain. The pearls are between 8 and 9 millimeters in diameter. They are well matched. Four of the pearls are glue mounted, and the fifth pearl in the center is half drilled and securely mounted on a post. The coral branch setting curves up and around the pearls in pretty, organic swirls. The ring was made between the 1950s and 1970s, and is probably American.
The ring is marked on the inside of the band with 14K. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee that the setting is 14K.
The ring is a size 7 1/2. It can be sized up or down. The top of the ring measures 26 millimeters across the width of the finger and 27.1 millimeters long across the top of the finger. When worn, the ring rises about 19 millimeters off the top of the finger.
