Presented is a wonderful quality Italian silver plaque depicting Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, made in around the 1980s-2010s. The plaque is very well made, very detailed and expressive, with ornate Rococo style scrollwork, lattice, and floral designs around the edge. The silver is done in both high polish and matte finishes for an extra visual touch.
This piece is stamped with the marks NA AG 28g and 850. AG refers to silver and 850 is a purity mark, but we aren't sure the significance of the other marks. There is a signature on the face of the piece at about the 5 o'clock position.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is a little dent to the silver at about the 11 o'clock position, and some little abrasions at about the 6 o'clock position, both visible in the tenth photograph. There is a little dent to the inner beveled edge at about the 2 o'clock position. Visible in the seventh photograph is a mar to the wood finish at the top of the plaque, which would not be visible when the plaque is displayed. No other dents, no breaks, and no repairs.
The plaque measures about 17 x 12 inches and has a depth/thickness of about half an inch. -jm
