Italian 18K Yellow Gold & Sapphire Pin and Earrings Set
Presented is a stunning 18 karat yellow gold pin and earrings set made in Italy during the 1950s or 60s. All of the pieces have a wonderful brushed finish and the pin also has pebbled pieces of gold to add texture to the piece. The earrings originally had post backs for pierced ears, but they have been converted with gold screw backs. The earrings have two bell flower blossoms set with sapphires and the pin has lovely open flowers set in the middle with sapphires. The sapphires are all set very well into their prongs. This is a skillfully constructed set of fine quality. The pin measures 2 5/8 inches wide, each earring measures 1 1/4 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 18.6 grams.
All three pieces are marked Italy and 18K. The screwback mechanisms are 14 karat gold. Everything else is 18 karat gold.
This set is in fabulous condition. There are no missing pieces, no dents, no breaks, no splits and no repairs.
