Presented is a striking, 18 karat deep yellow gold and amethyst brooch or pin made in Italy. The piece is done in an interesting, openwork form with alternating, tiered bands of both highly polished and textured gold. An amethyst gemstone is securely prong set in the center. The stone measures 15.7 by 8.8 by 6.8 millimeters and is approximately 5 1/2 carats. The clasp works well and is quite secure.
The back is marked Italy and 18K. Tested and guaranteed to be 18k gold.
This piece is in virtually mint condition.
