Impressive Mexican? Sterling Silver & Amethyst Pendant Necklace HUGE Size
Presented is a truly stunning sterling silver and amethyst pendant, on a silver plated chain. This piece dates to around the 1960s-1970s, and is likely of Mexican make. The pendant is a huge size, please view the photos carefully to
get the best idea of how large it actually is and where it will hang when worn. The pendant is done in a sort of snowflake design, set with 24 teardrop shaped amethysts around a central oval amethyst. The amethysts are all real, mined-from-the-ground stones, with very attractive rich purple color. In keeping with the scale of the piece, these are large stones, measuring about 19 by 12.5 millimeters at the smallest and 30 by 18 millimeters at the largest. The pendant is on a silver plated chain, which has no clasp, it is meant to just be slipped over the head. This is a very striking and eye-catching piece, nothing subtle
