Impressive 1867 Dutch Silver Swing Handle Bridal Basket

Presented is a lovely old Dutch silver bridal basket. This piece is dated 1867. The basket is made in a beautiful classical form, with an undulating rim and a round pedestal foot. The basket has a swing handle which is fabulously hand chased with floral and foliate scrollwork decoration. The center of the handle has a cartouche with an inscription.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped with the Dutch hallmark of a lion passant guaranteeing 833 purity silver, as well as the key-shaped tax mark, the Minerva head assay mark, a date letter h for 1867, and a maker's mark of GB.
The basket is about 12 ½ inches in diameter. The basket stands about 4 3/8 inches tall at the rim, or 11 inches tall at the tallest point of the handle.
This piece weighs 907 grams or 32 regular ounces.
