Huge 1893 Victorian English Sterling Silver Platter Serving Spoon Sickle Crest
Presented is an antique, English sterling silver platter, stuffing or huge serving spoon made in London in 1893. This Victorian piece has a classic rounded handle and the front is finely engraved with an interesting crest featuring 3 sickles in a shield underneath a sheaf of wheat.
The back of the handle is marked with the leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter S for the year 1893 and a maker’s mark.
This piece is in great condition, especially for its age. There is minimal surface wear and no damages or repairs.
