Herend Handpainted Emaille Rose ERS Reticulated 9 7/8" Pink Floral Bowl
Regular price
$530.00
Presented is a wonderful Herend porcelain bowl or dish. The bowl is made in the pattern named Emaille Rose or Enamel Rose, which is a Chinoiserie pattern featuring rich green vines against a famille rose pink enamel ground. Breaking up the pink and green are auspicious peach shaped reserves with colorful flowers hand painted inside, while the center is done in a stylized floral design. The dish has a wide reticulated rim, done in a fabulous openwork design with fine gold gilt detailing. The back has a pierced foot rim, so wires for hanging the plate as a display piece could easily be added. Please note we have some additional pieces in this pattern, which can be found by searching “Emaille Rose” in our store.
This plate is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The underside of the bowl is signed Herend, Hungary and “Handpainted” with pattern/decoration numbers7501/ERS A93 beneath, as well as the number 96 in blue near the outer edge. Though this piece does not have an artist's signature, other pieces in the same pattern that we acquired as part of a lot have a signature that looks like Szmulsi Istvanne; artist signatures on Herend pieces signify pieces of exceptional quality.
This bowl measures about 9 7/8 inches in diameter. -jm
