Presented is a handsome large and heavy sterling silver asparagus server from Gorham. This piece is in the King George pattern, which was patented in 1894. The pattern displays ornate shells and scrolls similar to other kings-style patterns. There is a monogram on the front of the handle, F, in an old English script.
This piece is marked on the reverse with sterling and the maker's mark for Gorham.
The server is in excellent overall condition. The pattern details are crisp and well-defined. There are no breaks and no repairs.
