Presented is a handsome German silver rectangular tray from the early/mid-1900s. This is a fine handwrought piece, with a great hand-hammered finish that catches the light beautifully. The piece is well made and would be excellent for a variety of serving purposes.
The underside is marked on the edge for .800 purity silver, the German crescent moon and crown and “handarbeit” meaning Handmade.
The tray is in great overall condition. The piece has some surface scratches, but these are less noticeable in person than the finish makes them appear in the photographs. Anything that looks like a dent or serious damage is due to reflections. There are no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, no dents, and no repairs.
